Hi, in this lesson, I will be discussing with you the top 7 reasons why you should learn JavaScript immediately after you’ve completed your lessons on Cascading Styles Sheets. Let's briefly look at the top 7 reasons why you should learn JavaScript.

TOP 7 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD LEARN JAVASCRIPT
1.     JavaScript is a solid foundation for other programming languages
The most important reason why you should learn JavaScript is that it is the building block and the foundation of all other programming languages. With the knowledge of  JavaScript, you will become acquainted with the programming and begin to think like a  programmer.  Also, as an object-oriented programming language, it requires a certain level of logic and reasoning. Hence, prepares one to the world of programming.
2.     JavaScript increases interactivity
Another paramount reason why you should learn JavaScript is that it increases users interactivity on your website. With a basic knowledge of JavaScript, you can manipulate codes and create an interface on a web page that reacts when a user hovers over them with the mouse.
3.     The demand for JavaScript developers is very high
More so, JavaScript developers are seriously wanting across the world today. Most web designers limit themselves with basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.  This is barely enough to design a responsive website. So you can breach the gap by learning JavaScript and then market yourself to fill in the gap.
4.     Best Platform for designing crazy visual effects, sliders, video  games, animations (2D & 3D), database driven Apps etc
This one may shock you especially if you are new to JavaScript. Some folks out there who alienated themselves from JavaScript often get shocked when they are told that JavaScript can be used to do amazing things such as creating database driven apps, image sliders and galleries, games, 2D and 3D animations, and lots more.
5.     JavaScript is a simple dynamic computer programming language.
JavaScript was originally known as LiveScript probably because of its simplicity. It is very simple and easy to learn. You don’t need to master those sophisticated mathematical formulae as in other programming languages such as Java, C++, Python etc.
6.     It has less server interaction
Another good thing about JavaScript is that it has less server interaction, unlike most programming language. This will not frustrate you as a beginner.  You can simply validate the user input before sending the page off to the server. Isn’t that amazing?
7.     JavaScript Skills pays well
I don’t need to elaborate much on this one. As a most sought-after skill now, you do not need to be told that JavaScript is a money spinner. I can’t imagine how much I’ve made through this skill. You can be a professional game developer and make a hell of money out of it.

WRAPPING UP
With these few reasons of mine, I strongly believe that I have not confused you but convinced you that you need to learn JavaScript in other to be a successful web developer. In our next lesson, I will be teaching you how to write your first JavaScript program.
